UHN Microarray Tutorial Sign Up Information

The Microarray Centre (MAC) offers a hands-on tutorial session for first-time microarray users. The user is instructed, over two-days, on how to complete the in-lab portion of a microarray experiment. The goal of this seminar is to provide users with the information and technical experience needed to use any of our cDNA arrays. Tips and techniques used by MAC staff will provide an attendee with a head start on microarray use.

In order to maintain a high level of staff to trainee interaction, the tutorial sessions are limited to only four people per session.  These sessions are in great demand and must be booked in advance.  Please DO NOT bring an extra person with you, as they WILL NOT be permitted to attend, even as an observer.

Fees:	Not for profit Academic and/or Research Organisations: $100.00
	Commercial Organisations or other: $600.00
	Please note that you will be mailed an invoice for the tutorial once you have completed it.
	Please do not bring cash or cheque to the tutorial as we are not set up to handle direct payments.

What is included?

• All reagents (reaction buffer, primer, nucleotides, cyanine dyes, Reverse Transcriptase enzyme, etc.) and control RNA required for one microarray experiment per pair of trainees (no personal RNA samples may be used)
• One cDNA microarray slide per pair of trainees
• Use of all Microarray Centre equipment required for the experiment
• Instruction by Microarray Centre staff

• Day 1: (10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)- cDNA labelling and hybridisation overnight.
• Day 2: (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)- wash arrays and scan.
